Tito
Carillo (Assistant Professor of Jazz Trumpet, U of Illinois School
of Music) will be our guest and speaker for this lunch. Tito
is an acclaimed jazz trumpet performer and is a committed Christian
and he will speak about his jazz music and his Christian
faith. He is noted as a fixture in the Chicago jazz music
scene, especially in the area of Latin music. He has
performed with some of most recognized jazz players, bands and
ensembles: the Woody Herman Orchestra, Tony Vega, Tito Puente, and
the Chicago Jazz Ensemble among others.
